Roselle Events offers student an education in events.
Roselle Events has collaborated with the acclaimed Robert Gordon’s University in Aberdeen to offer one lucky student hands on experience in events management.
In order to nurture the next generation of talented event professionals, Roselle has teamed up with RGU to offer one of its students a paid summer placement.
Rachel Forsyth, an events management student at RGU will be involved in organising an array of large corporate events over a 3 month period.
Roselle’s managing director Charlotte McIntosh said: “We are delighted to be able to offer Rachel a place with us and it’s a great opportunity for her to get a first hand experience of working for a busy events company.
“Having been to university myself, I understand how important it is to gain some hands-on experience in the industry before you start looking for work, as it not only gives you a feel for the work you could be doing, but also helps you find out if it is something you really want to do.”
Rachel was delighted on discovering that she had won the internship after achieving the highest grades in the class over the last academic year.
She said: “I am really looking forward to starting my placement with Roselle, it is a fantastic opportunity and I am hoping it will provide me with excellent experience and exposure to take forward in my future career in this competitive business sector. It’s incredibly exciting and I can’t wait to start.”
Students and staff arranged a prize giving ceremony, to recognise Rachel’s achievement, at RGU’s Aberdeen Business School.
