Aberdeen Events firm Roselle Events has awarded a three month paid placement to Robert Gordon University Student; Rachel Forsyth for academic success.

The placement will allow Rachel to work with the company on large scale corporate events over three months and will have the chance to gain experience in events such as conferences, incentive and recognition days, award dinners, dinner dances and product launches.

Roselle Events, which reported a £3 million turnover, welcomed the internship as a way not only to develop future talent but also to give budding events managers the opportunity to get to grips with the day to day role of an events manager.

Managing Director of Roselle, Charlotte McIntosh said:  “We are delighted to be able to offer Rachel a place with us and it’s a great opportunity for her to get a first hand experience of working for a busy events company.

“As well as being a great exercise for students, having an intern is great for us too. It not only gives us a chance to meet the future talent of the events industry but also brings in a fresh pair of eyes to the different events we are planning for clients.”

Rachel, a first year events student was awarded the placement after achieving the highest grades this year.

She said: “I am really looking forward to starting my placement with Roselle, it a fantastic opportunity and I am hoping it will provide me with excellent experience and exposure to take forward in my future career in this competitive business sector.  It’s incredibly exciting and I can’t wait to start.”
