The boss of Unchained Restaurants has appeared in the Edinburgh Evening News predicting that a prolonged sunny spell could deliver a much-needed boost to hard-pressed businesses.
Rob Reeley wrote a column for the paper, the biggest selling news title in the Scottish capital, saying many businesses are dreading another washout summer.
His views were shared with the 100,000-strong army of Evening News readers – including many who will be looking for day trips and child-friendly outings during the summer holidays.
Rob’s plain-talking opinions also proved timely – appearing in the paper as the Met Office predicted the UK will be basking in fine summer weather for the next two weeks.
