Relaxed Glamour on the Cards at Racing’s Midsummer Evening Party

SAVVY revellers have snapped up places for a midsummer party with a difference, helping Musselburgh Racecourse sell out prime packages for its new Ladies Night event.

Promising an evening of relaxed glamour to kick start the weekend, it will feature horse racing, a set by renowned Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills and entry to two of Edinburgh’s hottest night clubs.

Now the lure of the chic event has already seen the Racecourse – which is just six miles from Edinburgh city centre- sell out both its picnic tables and its champagne experience packages.

Sarah Montgomery, Senior Operations and Commercial Manager at Musselburgh Racecourse, said: “This is a night which has clearly struck a chord with those looking for a night out with a difference. Ladies love the thoughts of sitting out with their girlfriends, sipping champagne and watching the horses.

The event takes place on Friday, July 29 and special buses are being laid on to ferry partygoers to and from the city centre. The evening will feature high quality turf action, while the atmosphere between races will be buzzing as guests enjoy the food and drink on offer, including a special Cava bar on site.

The entertainment will be ratcheted up at the after show party – which is included in the cost of the £25 tickets (£15 concession) – when DJ Scott Mills, best known for his stint on Radio One, will be on the decks, taking guests through to 10pm.

Hard core revellers can still look forward to carrying on through to the early hours, as ticket holders will get priority access to renowned Edinburgh clubs, Lulu and Opal Lounge. Details are:
