A leading destination venue in Scotland is playing homage to one of the country’s favourite Christmas romantic comedies by forming an exclusive pop-up cinema club in its honour.
The events team at the venue has transformed its penthouse suite, the Hempel Room, into an intimate cinema hosting up to 100 guests per screening, with the help of the team from The Grosvenor Cinema in Glasgow’s West End.
Movie fans can enjoy a nostalgic evening in the on-screen company of Hugh Grant, Colin Firth and Alan Rickman at The Corinthian Club for only £10 per person, to include the cost of the screening, a signature cocktail and cinema-style popcorn.
Screenings will be held on the 23rd and 24th December. The venue will also screen another festive favourite, ‘New Year’s Eve’ on 27th December.
The Corinthian Club team has recorded a high level of demand for the screenings and is aiming to make the cinema club part of the venue’s permanent packages on offer throughout the year. Plans are already in the pipeline to screen other popular films and classic movies in the New Year.
Jules McKim, Sales and Marketing Executive, said: “Christmas films like ‘Love Actually’ have become must-see classics over the festive period.
“Despite being ten years old, many of our customers & staff list the film as a personal favourite. We knew we had to get into the festive spirit and mark the anniversary in a special way.
“The tickets have been selling out really quickly so we’re delighted to see that customers are receptive to the fun events we’re putting on this Christmas.”
