BBQ Restaurant’s Eco-Friendly Initiative Sizzles with Scottish Press
WE LOVE sharing our client’s success stories to the media, so we were delighted to tell the tale of Reekie’s Smokehouse’s latest eco-friendly initiative – one that is making them stand out from the rest of the Edinburgh restaurant scene.
Specialising in classic American BBQ food with a Scottish twist, including pulled pork and mouth-watering ribs, Reekie’s carefully crafted menu has already been a tasty hit with the Scottish press (see our media coverage post from April).
Now, the husband and wife run joint has become a local media hit once again, after our Food and Drink PR experts announced they had embraced Too Good To Go – an environmental social enterprise which links hungry customers with food from local restaurants that would otherwise be thrown away.
The specialist smokehouse is the first in Edinburgh to partner up with the scheme, meaning food lovers in the capital can collect authentic smoked items just after the restaurant closes at 9pm.
Coverage highlights from our sizzling story included:
- A total of 7 items of media coverage
- Coverage in Edinburgh Evening News (print and online) and Marketing Edinburgh Newsletter – key publications for the capital-based restaurant to spread its positive news with potential diners
- Reached local food audiences with pick up on the food and restaurant directory Taste of Scotland
- Coverage in Scotland B2B reaching other business minded individuals
- An impressive total reach of 49,467 across online and in print
