Reactec Materials handling world managementVibration experts seize some PR Scotland with launch of new system.

Reactec has revealed its new M3 RFID -PDA system which is an enhanced tool tag programmer designed to make the technology even easier for companies to use.

The system is fitted with new software and applications that is IP65-rated making it more durable and therefore better suited for use in the construction sector and other hazardous environments.

Jim O’Hagan, managing director at Reactec, said: “The HAVmeter is the industry standard equipment for accurately monitoring exposure to vibration, and it is the safety device of choice for many major companies in the UK construction, manufacturing and ground maintenance sectors.

“However, we are constantly striving to make the HAVmeter system as simple and easy to use as possible, which is why we have introduced this new PDA equipment. It provides our clients with the best mobile device they require to review and reprogram their tool tags, in order to maximise the effectiveness of their HAV management.

HAVmeter is the UK’s leading system for monitoring vibration exposure and is used by many of the country’s major construction and manufacturing firms including Tarmac, Aston Martin, Balfour Beatty and Everton FC. Under the system, every employee is issued with an individual HAVmeter monitor that records their exposure from hand held tools and other vibrating equipment in order to keep them within the limits set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

The launch of the new equipment was also picked up by technical blog Techno’s Posterous.
