The editor of pub industry brible, Dram magazine, has revealed here favourite venue in Scotland.

Susan Young says Indigo Yard – one of the first units opened by the hugely successful Montpeliers (Edinburgh) Ltd chain – remains an agenda setter.

Her comments carry extra signifciance, because Susan is also the organiser of the annual Scottish Licensed Trade Awards.

She revealed her personal preferences in Scotland’s biggest selling newspaper, the Sunday Mail as it launched its hunt to find Scotland’s Pub of the Year 2009, in association with Dram.

Susan told the newspaper: “Indigo is one of the original style bars and has a lovely feel.”
