Property Specialists Celebrate National Landlord Day

Orchard & Shipman Press releases

Letfirst with Orchard &Shipman are exhibiting in Edinburgh for National Landlords' Day An Edinburgh-based lettings agency is to mark National Landlord Day by showcasing its specialist expertise at the Scottish Association of Landlords’ Conference and Exhibition, UK’s largest private sector housing gathering.

As experts in residential letting, Letfirst with Orchard and Shipman will be on hand to provide detailed information on its award-winning lettings model during the event at Edinburgh’s Dynamic Earth on 12 November 2013.

The firm’s innovative scheme ensures that landlords across the country are guaranteed rent, even when the property is empty, and protection from risks, such as tenant damage costs, for up to five years.

Angela McLachlan, director at Letfirst with Orchard and Shipman, said: “The Scottish Association of Landlords’ Conference provides a fantastic opportunity to meet face-to-face with landlords and to discuss how Letfirst can mitigate some of the risks and challenges that landlords face when letting out properties, such as void periods, tenant damage and legal costs.

“Our stall will be manned by a number of our top property specialists who are always keen to hear from landlords and provide them with sound advice on the letting market.

“It is our aim to provide a stress-free service for landlords, helping them avoid scenarios where their properties are left lying empty or they incur large costs from tenant damage.

“Furthermore, the Letfirst with Orchard and Shipman model also takes away the hassle of finding new tenants every six months, to alleviate these concerns for the next five years.

“Ultimately, the scheme offers peace of mind that a property is let and managed efficiently, with the added guarantee that a rental payment will be in the landlord’s bank account each month, regardless of missed payments by the tenant.”

Letfirst with Orchard and Shipman is already well established across Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Scottish Borders and have recently launched in Glasgow, where they currently require at least 500 properties to cover the requirements of corporate clients.

Not only will new landlords to the service welcome the great number of benefits the model provides but to further incentivise them, the company has said that suitable properties could be let within a week rather than the average 39 days it normally takes to find tenants in Glasgow.

Letfirst with Orchard and Shipman will be joined by a wide variety of trade experts at The Scottish Association of Landlords’ Conference and Exhibition where delegates can also look forward to a great programme of high profile speakers and a whole host of exhibition stands showcasing goods and services.
