Homebuilder proves it can walk the walk for Gullane community by supporting local campaign
After 15 years of campaigning, Gullane residents are one big step closer to a safer route between their town and the nearest train station.
Before the Drem-Gullane Path Campaign began, accessing the train station from Gullane proved a dangerous pursuit, with the only viable route being alongside the busy and usually unlit main road.
Now, thanks to support from CALA Homes (East), work has begun on a four-mile path from the centre of Gullane to Drem.
Property PR experts at Holyrood PR worked together with CALA Homes, local campaigners, and residents to organise a photo call to celebrate the start of the path.
Issuing the photos with a press release drafted with input from third parties, including local MSPs, resulted in a flurry of media coverage across regional, national and specialist press in the paper, on the radio and online.
Some of the highlights included:
- Over 11 minutes of discussion on BBC Radio Scotland: Out of Doors show
- Major features in the regional press, such as East Lothian Courier, Edinburgh Evening News and Edinburgh Live
- Key coverage across construction titles, such as Project Scotland, Construction Index and Scottish Construction Now.
- Total Opportunities to See: 397,361
