Full house of media coverage for affordable homes in West Lothian

Cala Land & Planning Media Coverage

CALA Homes (East) achieves coverage across multiple target sectors thanks to Property PR experts.

Our property PR team helped tell the story of housing developer CALA Homes’ (East) collaboration with West Lothian Housing Partnership – part of Wheatly Group – to build 14 essential affordable homes as part of its Queenswood development in Linlithgow.

We drafted a release, arranged a photocall and issued to press. The story was published across multiple key sectors such as national, regional, local and construction press – helping to showcase CALA’s delivery of affordable homes and its commitment to building them to a varied audience.

Our property PR team delivered:

  • 46 items of media coverage spanning online, print and social media
  • 1,900,000 opportunities to see
  • Targeted local and regional coverage in outlets such as the Linlithgow Gazette, West Lothian Courier, and The Edinburgh Evening News
  • Important national coverage in The Scotsman and The Daily Record.

Throughout, we liaised closely with Alasdair Hughes, Land Manager for CALA Homes (East), as well as David Fletcher, Wheatly Group Director of Development, to get insight into the building process and the partnership with West Lothian Council and the Scottish Government.

To accompany the release, we commissioned an experienced PR photographer to capture pictures, which were used extensively in the coverage, showcasing the importance of good photography.

By working closely with Wheatly Group, the story was able to be shared on their websites and networks also.
