CALA Homes (East) Midlothian development sells out after sales surge

A DEVELOPMENT of homes in a historic and picturesque village near Edinburgh has entirely sold out after a final surge of sales.

Chapel Lawns in Roslin is a new 79-home community that was built as part of a five-development £300million investment drive into Midlothian by the builder, including sold-out projects in Bonnyrigg and Straiton, as well as its more recently launched Belwood Oaks site in Penicuik.

Launched in summer 2017, Chapel Lawns represents the developer’s first time building in Roslin – a desirable village made even more famous by Rosslyn Chapel’s link to the Da Vinci Code bestselling novels.

Like Penicuik’s Belwood Oaks, CALA’s Roslin development has benefited from a surge in demand for space and access to the countryside, since March this year.

Properties at Chapel Lawns ranged from cottage apartments to five-bedroom homes and CALA has created safe pedestrian links to the new primary school and the wider community.

Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director with CALA Homes (East), said: “Midlothian has a huge amount to offer with its appeal growing even more so in the past year.

“Chapel Lawns has seen us bring homes to a lovely part of the world and we thank the wider community for their patience and understanding throughout the building of these homes.

“We now have just one live development in the region, Belwood Oaks in Penicuik, and urge any buyers looking for that mix of city-access and rural charm to arrange an appointment to make a visit and experience this for themselves.”

CALA Homes is headquartered in Scotland and has built its strong reputation on the high quality of the homes it builds, which are sensitively designed to augment the areas in which they are located.

The result is homes that are highly sought after and which retain their value over decades, earning loyalty from owners, who often live in a series of CALA properties.

Nearby Belwood Oaks has a range of three bedroom semi-detached and terraced homes, and four and five bedroom detached homes from CALA’s Light and Space collection available. Homes have been designed to accommodate families with open plan spaces and home offices ideal for work or study.
