When CALA Homes unveiled a five-tonne steel fixture inspired by the historic streetscape of Haddington with influence from local children our property PR team knew it would make a great story.

The installation is the centre piece of a major expansion, for the town which will include 800 new homes and a new primary school.

Our property team jumped on board to show off the new fixture generating the following fantastic results:

  • 10 items of coverage across print, newsletter, online and social media
  • 91,103 opportunities to see across National, regional and local publications
  • Key regional coverage in The Linlithgow Gazette, Edinburgh Live and Edinburgh Evening News

Our team generated buzz by issuing an artwork sneak peek to the media and liaised with an East Lothian local democracy reporter who attended the official opening.

We ensured professional photography was carried out at the opening ceremony, teeing up local children, school staff, East Lothian council representatives, CALA representatives and the Blacksmith who designed the artwork for the big day.

Through hitting key media titles, CALA Homes commitment to the communities it builds in was showcased to a local audience, cementing its reputation as a committed and responsible developer.
