A MAJOR homebuilder is inviting househunters to step inside and discover the completed collection of refurbished apartments in one of East Lothian’s most iconic buildings.

With all 21 bespoke apartments at Henderson House now complete, CALA Homes (East) is offering buyers the chance to view the remaining apartments inside the Gullane landmark – formally The Marine Hotel.

The bespoke apartments inside the historic building feature a range of unique layouts, including duplexes and main entrances, paired with features such as large bay windows, well-equipped kitchens, flexible living spaces and private gardens and balconies on selected plots.

With a third of the apartments now occupied, home-seekers can explore all the remaining apartments, including three fully furnished properties – allowing buyers to pull interior design inspiration for their future home.

Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director at CALA Homes (East), said: “This is a truly special piece of local history and we’re delighted to say that the refurbishment of Henderson House is now complete.

“Its significance as a town landmark has been very important for us throughout the project– we wanted to restore and modernise without losing its charm and character.

“The team on site has done a fantastic job in giving the building a new lease of life, with a unique range of individually designed properties that offer something for everyone.”

First built in 1899, Henderson House was originally a seaside hotel for visitors to Gullane, before acting as the headquarters for the Polish army during the Second World War. More recently, it was the main training centre for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Today, Henderson House stands as part of CALA Homes (East)’s Marine Rise development. With prices starting at £299,000, the development offers a wide range of spacious one, two and three-bedroom apartments and three, four and five-bedroom houses – all of which come with 10-year warranty cover from the National House Building Council (NHBC).

The area is known for its award-winning beaches and world-famous Championship golf courses along the ‘Golf Coast Road’, and is the ideal location for those seeking a slower pace of life while being in commuting distance of the hustle and bustle of the capital.

Apartments at Henderson House are available to view now, with showhomes and show apartments at Marine Rise open daily from 11am until 5.30pm.
