FASHION giant Primark featured in a double page spread in The Scotsman – on the day of its Princes Street store opening.
The article explains that business leaders are hoping that the launch of the new store in Edinburgh will kickstart a successful run up to Christmas for the high street.
Shoppers have long hoped to see a Primark arrive in the capital, and finally the low-price retailer has landed.
Primark chief executive Paul Marchant said: “We are delighted to be opening our Scottish flagship store on Edinburgh’s Princes Street. We know there has been a huge demand for a Primark in Edinburgh so we are delighted to finally be turning this into a reality.”
A spokesman for Primark added: “We have been working tirelessly to create our new flagship store in the heart of Edinburgh over the past year, so we’re delighted to announce that it will be completed and open to shoppers.”
As well as working with Primark on the consumer PR campaign to launch its flagship new store to the public, Holyrood PR also worked with the fashion giant to deliver a smooth planning process which ensured the new store was given the go-ahead.
