Primark Bag More PR SCotland with Edinburgh Newspaper Coverage
Primark has made the front page of an Edinburgh-based newspaper after plans are finialised to open its flagship store in the capital.
The Edinburgh Evening News has made note of the news that a Primark store will be built on Edinburgh’s most iconic shopping strip, Princes Street.
Under the heading “Can Primark save Princes Street” the piece provides a link to a two-page spread inside the paper celebrating the news.
The flagship Edinburgh will replace the old Marks & Spencer building on Princes Street and will provide Primark with its 18th store in Scotland, creating hundreds of construction and retail jobs in the city.
To meet new planning legislation, Primark carried out an exhaustive three month public consultation exercise to shape the plans for such a high-profile and sensitive site. Almost 7,000 people joined a special website set up to encourage public consultation about the project.
The full coverage can be seen in the Edinburgh Evening News and was the result of a PR in Scotland campaign carried out by the Holyrood Partnership.
