PRIMARK featured in a piece in the Glasgow Sunday Herald following the launch of its Edinburgh flagship store on Princes Street. 

Despite the freezing temperatures, shoppers queued in their hundreds to get into the long awaited fashion store.

Laura Hamilton, who had queued since 6am said: “I can’t wait to snap up a few bargains.”

Paul Merchant, CEO of Primark, said: “When you look at the customers in here today it is all ages, from young kids through to grandmothers.”

Fashion store dresses to impress with successful consumer PR

Primark featured in a piece on The Edinburgh Evening News Online, leading up to the opening of its new store in Princes Street,  Edinburgh.

The Holyrood PR team styled a fashion shoot using clothes from the store to create a Christmas party themed piece.  The photographs from this feature in the article.

The arrival of the store in the capital is a huge deal, with some even going as far as to say that it will be just as important for Edinburgh as Harvey Nichols’.

Tim Danaher, editor of Retail Week, said: “Primark has an amazing effect on a lot of towns when it opens just because it gets people back into the town.

“Its magic is its ability to translate trends on the catwalks to the shops and get them out there cheaply in double-quick time.  It’s something unique.  It’s a destination and not many retailers can claim they are a genuine destination.”

None of the clothes used in the fashion shoot cost more than £30, a great example of how the store brings fashionable and affordable pieces to the high street.

FASHION giant Primark featured in a double page spread in The Scotsman – on the day of its Princes Street store opening.

The article explains that business leaders are hoping that the launch of the new store in Edinburgh will kickstart a successful run up to Christmas for the high street.
