A MAJOR U.S. Kids Golf European Championship has been featured in coverage across the UK after its 2010 launch

They will be among 500 youngsters from 30 different nations taking part in the annual event, which is a one of the most important fixtures in the golfing calendar – even bigger than The Open Championship.

Among the Lancashire hopefuls is two-time European Championship Eloise Healey, who is looking to complete her hat trick of victories in 2010. She will join hundreds of young players from across the globe at the competition, which is being staged between June 1-3 in East Lothian.

Our PR in Scotland ensured great coverage results for the event as seen below;

Lewis Reid aged 12 from the Milngavie area of Glasgow, took part in this years U.S Kids Golf European Championship – despite battling vomiting fits in the days leading up to the event.

Lewis said: “I was absolutely thrilled to have managed a hole in one.  It really made my week especially as I’d been feeling so unwell.

“I had such a brilliant time at the competition and I’m looking forward to whats next.”

Lewis’ parents are immensely proud of their sons achievement and the fact that he has been ill makes his shot all that more special.  Lewis suffers from a swollen oesophagus which causes constant vomiting and he has been attending the Glasgow Sick Kids hospital for treatment.

The latest newspaper coverage was the result of a sustained social media and PR in Scotland campaign devised by Edinburgh public relations experts the Holyrood PR.
