Rosé Cheeks at Opal Lounge

Montpeliers (Edinburgh) Ltd Press releases

There was no need for rose tinted spectacles to deem the Moët Rosé Imperial Boudoir Party at Edinburgh’s hottest nightspot a success.

More than 150 glamorous guys and girls, including TV stars and celebrities, enjoyed a champagne-fuelled evening at Opal Lounge.

Gorgeous Moët Pompadour girls flounced around the decadently-decorated club á la Marie Antionette, while guests sipped champagne from tulip-shaped glasses and nibbled on cupcakes from antique-style cake stands, as well as French fancies.

The night was held to celebrate Opal Lounge’s operator Montpeliers (Edinburgh) Ltd’s Champagne Summer. To make the summer season sparkle it is offering special deals on glasses of Dom Perignon, Flirtini cocktails and bottles of Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial.

The club, which is a celebrity and royal favourite, was bedecked in red velvet and mirrors with rose petals adorned the walls, with candelabras and flower arrangements in glass bowls adding to the exuberant feel of the Boudoir.

Kirsty Duncanson, Regional Account Manager for Moët Hennessy UK, said: “Opal Lounge was the perfect venue to host our Boudoir party in Edinburgh. It is decadent and opulent, while still being fun – very like Moët Rosé.

“We wanted to host the party somewhere we could thank a large portion of our clients. Opal Lounge is a venue that has supported us very well and home to some of the city’s most extravagant champagne drinkers.

“The night was a resounding success. Our Boudoir Girls reported it was the best party they have ever done, and that is saying something.”

Music was provided by esteemed Edinburgh DJ Jez Hill from 9pm to a packed club until 2.30am on Wednesday August 20.

The night was strictly invite-only as a thank you to loyal customers of Montpeliers, Moët Hennesy UK and people in the trade. Hitmaker Sandi Thom and STV presenter Gerry McCulloch made an appearance and sipped on Moët Rosé champagne at the club’s exlusive Table Service area.

David Johnston, Development Director at Montpeliers that also operates Tigerlily, Lulu and Rick’s, said: “It was an absolutely fantastic night and a great brand to host a party with.

“The Boudoir Girls were amazing, the drinks and canapes were delicious and the decoration was fantastically decadent. This all added up to an utterly exuberant evening.

“Champagne is a massive seller throughout our eight cutting-edge venues, particularly at Opal Lounge. This was a fantastic way to celebrate our Champagne Summer.”
