Pioneering MS Study Makes the Headlines

0 Point One Media Coverage

Sunday Post CoveragePioneering research work which could benefit multiple sclerosis sufferers has been featured in one of Scotland’s biggest Sunday papers – the Sunday Post.

The popular newspaper featured the story of primary school teacher Mairi Brown, who was diagnosed with the debilitating condition when she was just 18.

Ten years after that bombshell news, the young mum is now seeing improvements in her balance and mobility, thanks to an innovative physiotherapy treatment developed by Edinburgh-based Chongsu Lee.

Chongsu specialises in an ancient form of Korean massage and noted it  seemed to be of particular benefit to MS sufferers. So, he started adapting his treatment specifically for managing the condition.

Mairi is among the growing numbers of MS patients reporting how the treatment has benefited them – and featured in the newspaper report urging other sufferers to take part in a formal study into the effectiveness of the treatment – read the full details here.

Coverage in the health pages of the Sunday Post – which sells more than 240,000 copies every week – was a huge boost to raising awareness about the study and Chongsu’s treatment method at the Korean Physiotherapy Clinic in Edinburgh
