The Edinburgh Evening News has given respected physiotherapist Kirsten Lord publicity by highlighting her attendance at a conference held last weekend.

Under the headline “Physio outlines hands-on approach to treating the stars” the article explains how Kirsten – who runs three physiotherapy clinics in Scotland – was invited to speak by the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM) at an event held in anticipation of the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The BAPAM conference – entitled “The Show Must Go On” – allowed Kirsten to address doctors, physiotherapists, osteopaths, musicians and other therapists as well as share knowedge and best pratice.

Kirsten founded The Edinburgh Physiotherapy Centre in 1992 and it operates from a dedicated clinic in Henderson Row and from Bannatyne’s Health Club on Queen Street. The Glasgow Physiotherapy Centre opened in 2009.

The specialist team of therapists treats spinal pain, chronic pain and sporting injuries and clients have ranged from Olympic athletes to European circuit golfers. In 2005 Kirsten worked for the George Clooney movie “The Jacket” which was shot on location in Scotland and treated star Adrien Brody exclusively whilst on set.
