From salmon to smokies and whisky to wines, the Festival, taking place on November 29th on King Edward Street, will see over 40 traders showcase the cream of the crop of Scotland’s natural larder.

As well as highlighting Perthshire’s rich food and drink heritage, the winter market-style event will provide a twist on traditional entertainment, with ceilidh bands Reely Jiggered and the Bagpipe Rockers headlining the main stage.

As part of the quintessential Scottish celebration, famous Perthshire landmark St John’s Kirk will also be illuminated in blue to reflect the Scottish Saltire flag.

Councillor John Kellas, Convener of Enterprise & Infrastructure for Perth & Kinross Council, which hosts the City of Perth Winter Festival, said: “Perth is rightly acknowledged as one of the country’s most beautiful cities with an amazing range of features, attractions and landmarks.

“We have people come from all over the world to visit so we wanted to find some way to showcase the rich treasures of Perth, as well as Scotland as a whole, and what better way to do this than to showcase the many delicacies and rich heritage we have to offer.

“So whether its food and drink enthusiasts looking for a bite and a tipple, music fans keen for a ceilidh dance or families looking for a fun-filled day of entertainment, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy as we round off November in truly patriotic style.”

St Andrews Day takes place on Monday 30th November. However, Perth and Kinross is marking this day on Sunday 29th November from 10am-5pm on King Edward Street in Perth.
