Perfect PR Topping For Tony Crolla’s Charity Efforts

Vittoria and La Favorita Blog

Online website the EdinburghGuide.com has featured an article outlining the charitable efforts made by Edinburgh based Italian eateries Vittoria, Vittoria on the Bridge and La Favorita’s.

The award winning Italian restaurants have been recognised for their efforts in supporting and raising money for Forth One and Forth2’s ‘Cash for Kids’ appeal.

The Cash for Kids appeal has raised over £2.5 million for special children across Edinburgh, the Lothian’s and Fife.

Throughout 2009 the institutional Edinburgh eateries raised over £7000 pounds for the charity – all three restaurants ran a scheme that offered kids under 12 years the ‘Eat for £1 Deal’, when accompanied by an adult – with all the money donated to the Edinburgh charity.

With the success of 2009 Forth One DJ Grant Stott, a regular customer of the restaurants run by Tony Crolla said: “Having known Tony for a number of years and eaten in all three of his restaurants on many occasions, I was delighted when I heard he was using this promotion to raise funds for Forth’s Cash for Kids.”

Grand Stott has gone onto present Tony with a plaque representing his restaurants contributions to Forth’s Cash for Kids appeal.

Commenting on their involvement Tony said: “We are really pleased with the fantastic amount of money we raised in 2009, particularly as we only started in the April – that’s got us determined to see if we can beat that figure this year.”

Following on from the success of the 2009 appeal – throughout 2010 all three restaurants, Vittoria, Vittoria on the Bridge and La Favorita will continue their Kids Eat for £1 Deal.
