Panton McLeod Speak Zulu with Business Expansion

Panton McLeod Press releases

New headquarters for UK water quality engineering firm

Panton McLeod had expanded its engineering headquarters to match plans to expand in the UK water sector, whilst staying true to the company founder’s South African roots.

The company provides services to maintain the quality of the UK’s drinking water and has named the new 10,000 sq foot headquarters unit Amanzi House – the Zulu word for water.

The decision to expand into a larger industrial unit at the Tweedbank Industrial Estate in Galashiels follows the increasing growth the company is experiencing in the UK, and has dedicated the new site to retired founder Jim R Panton, who spent a large part of his life in South Africa.

Jim W Panton, Chief Executive at Panton McLeod and the founder’s son, said: “This is a very exciting move for the company and one which will give us the resources to grow our range of services and hopefully allow us to undertake more projects with our clients throughout the UK.”

The company provides services including repair and refurbishment, pipeline services and robotic inspection as well as their traditional cleaning and disinfection of service reservoirs which it is able to expand on the new premises.

Jim added: “Last year Panton McLeod landed its first partnership distribution deal in the U.S which was a major breakthrough. With all this activity the move was actually long overdue as we were operating at a level much higher than what the previous headquarters could offer.

“I’m confident that the new expansion will provide the opportunity for the company to adapt and grow its services and aid ambitious plans to expand and grow throughout the UK and abroad.”

The firm offers a range of integrated solutions to the challenges faced by water companies and their contractors include Severn Trent, United Utilities, Welsh Water and Scottish Water.
