Open Tickets Up For Grabs At Local Hotel/Restaurant

Project Work and Other Clients Press releases

Drinks at the Golf InnA restaurant in East Lothian is giving its guests the chance to win a pair of tickets to this year’s Open Championships and all they have to do is buy a drink.

Owners of the Golf Inn in Gullane, managed to secure a pair of tickets for the golfing spectacular which is sold out in the hopes of attending themselves. However, with tens of thousands of  people set to descend the area for the big event, and their 14 room hotel fully booked, they will be busy working so have decided to give the tickets away instead.

To be in with a chance of winning all customers have to do is place and order (of any value) at the bar and their name will be entered into a prize draw and picked at random on tomorrow evening.

Rob  Reeley, who runs the Golf Inn with his wife Jules, said: “The whole area is getting excited for The Open just now and lots of people are looking for tickets, but they are very very hard to come by and those which are very expensive.

“So we thought we would make it a wee bit easier for those looking for tickets to get their hands on a pair, by giving one away seeing as though we can’t make it ourselves.”

“Hopefully we get some golf fans taking us up on our offer and we can give someone the chance to see what will hopefully be some of the most exciting games of golf.”

Customers can win a pair of tickets to the championship on Thursday 18th of June and tickets allow for full entry to the event which includes a drinks reception.

The Open Championship is one of the biggest events of the golfing calendar and will be held this year at Muirfield in East Lothian, attracting big golfing names such as Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood and local talent Steven Gallacher.
