Renonwed food writer and reviewer Jonathan Trew has congratulated Italian restaurateur Tony Crolla on his success in going green.

Trew has established a Scotland-wide repuation as a leading food critic with dining out reviews in various newspapers and magazines.

Now he writes a column for the hugely successful online restaurant booking and reservation site, 5pm.co.uk.

In his most recent blog-column Trew offered a hearty back slap to Tony and his team for their award-winning work at the Vittoria and La Favorita venues in Edinburgh.

The perennially popular venues are already well known for their outstanding Italian cuisine and value for money – now they have also been recognised for being environmentally friendly.

As well as giving the venues a mention on his blog (read it here), Trew added: “I had a couple of pizzas from Favorita on Saturday night. They take some beating.”
