24 OCT PAISLEY DAILY EXPRESS PG4 FULL PAGE BLUR

Bright primary school pupils from Paisley have teamed up with residents at a local care home to share and learn together as part of their ‘Generations Working Together’ Project, resulting in a significant spread coverage for our care client Bupa.

The creative initiative sees Primary 7 pupils from St Peter’s primary school visit Bupa’s Braemount care home every Thursday to engage with the residents and exchange knowledge and experience.

The eight week programme aims to encourage young and old generatprimary blurions
to get to know each other and teach each other new things. So far, this has involved everything from residents trying their hand at the ‘Superman Dance’ – a popular hip hop dance
step – to pupils learning the correct way to hang out their washing, and the quirky story secured hits across national, local and care press – with a little help from our expert Edinburgh PR agency.

The story of the innovative and unique primary school project was an instant hit with local daily newspaper, Paisley Daily Express – one of the UK’s fastest growing regional morning papers. This is the main newspaper of the area and therefore an evident key target in which to spread Bupa’s news, and with a readership of over 5,000, a sure fire way to reach the all-important local community and beyond.

However, as an agency with a ‘Multiple Bites at the Cherry’mindset, we of course didn’t stop there, knowing that the story had a powerful message that warranted coverage more further afield. After all, Bupa’s dedication to developing an exciting variety of activities in order to provide the best in quality care for all its residents is well worth shouting about.

As such, we landed a hugely positive piece of coverage in Glasgow’s most trusted news source – the Glasgow Evening Times – thus securing the story had acare industry news for web potential reach of almost 30,000 readers across Scotland’s largest city.

Vitally, the industry care press were also quick to pick up on the story, and ran pieces in both Care Industry News and SY Care Support. With over 15,000 monthly browsers combined, securing coverage across these websites ensured that the story was fully exposed to Bupa’s key target industry movers and shakers.

By making ripples across a variety of different news outlets reaching diverse sectors, our expert Edinburgh PR team ensured the wide sharing of Bupa’s positive ethos.

This media triumph is a great success for Bupa Care Homes and comes as part of our on going PR campaign for the care pioneer.
