Since beginning the Critical Care Outreach programme, Borders General Hospital has achieved one of the lowest mortality rates in patient care. This impressive title endorses the work of the Scottish Patient Safety Programme (SPSP), a ground-breaking initiative lead by Healthcare Improvement Scotland, which ensures that every patient in NHS Scotland receives the best possible patient care.
