An Edinburgh bar that has been forced to censor the naughty bits of a painting of a naked female to avoid over-zealous attention has caught the eye of local media.
The Melville, in the capital’s West End, decided to cover the painting with leaves to avoid men tripping over themselves on their way to the toilet.
The painting, by Edinburgh-based artist Rachel Bell, had been turning heads – and creating an impromptu trip hazard – since it was hung above the staircase which leads to the toilets.
Local newspaper, the Edinburgh Evening News quickly picked up the quirky story and also featured itonline.
