Scottish clothing designer’s hospitality hits – Edinburgh PR

Scotland’s young hospitality workers are getting the ideal chance to make a big impression in their future careers – thanks to an unusual prize by NKD Clothing.

Delegates to the HIT (Hospitality Industry Trust) Scotland Emerging Talent Conference will be able to win a classic suit – one each for men and women – which are guaranteed to set them apart.

The suits, valued at £300 each and including stylish detailing like working cuff buttons, will be the top prize offered during a text voting exercise at the HIT Conference.

Gill Eastgate, Director at NKD Clothing, Scotland’s leading supplier of uniforms and corporate wear, said they hoped the suits would help budding hotel managers and restaurateurs to make their mark in the industry.

She said: “Image is everything, so anyone who may be going for their first interview or perhaps going to see their bank manager to start their own business will really look the part in this suit.

“HIT Scotland is doing a great job in encouraging excellence in the hospitality sector so it seemed a good idea to ensure that the budding stars of the future will look the part as well as they develop their careers.”

David Cochrane, Chief Executive of HIT Scotland, added: “Only by looking professional can hospitality staff begin to exceed the expectations of guests and customers. These two winners will be on the right road to raising standards for everyone in the industry.”

A sell-out audience of 450 delegates will be attending the Emerging Talent Conference on the theme: Scottish Roots: Bright Future at Glasgow’s The Old Fruitmarket on February 11.

The keynote speakers will be Scotland’s ‘Curry King’ Charan Gill; Guy Crawford, Chief Executive Officer of Jumeirah Group and serial entrepreneur and philanthropist Mick Jackson from the Wild Hearts Foundation.
