A newspaper has reported how small Scots businesses have been hit by the collapse of airline Flyglobespan.
The Press and Journal newspaper printed comments from NKD Clothing owner and director Gill Eastgate
An article in the paper told how the Edinburgh-based clothing company was also counting the cost of Flyglobespan’s demise as an £80,000 contract to provide the airline with all its staff uniforms was to be cancelled.
The story also told how NKD Clothing had already provided Flyglobespan with £1,000 worth of pilot and crew uniforms and accessories for its biggest contract of 2009.
Director Gill Eastgate was quoted as saying: “We feel awful. We have had to call all our suppliers and apologise because after all their efforts we now won’t be able to place orders.”
