on behalf of U.S. Kids Golf European Championship
The renowned News & Star newspaper in Cumbria has issued a challenge to young golfers in the region to enter the 2009 US Kids Golf European Championships.
The newspaper responded to a media campaign by Holyrood PR after it emerged no youngsters from the area had entered to compete alongside 400 other young golfers from 30 countries across the globe in the prestigious tournament in Scotland in May.
It has now thrown down the gauntlet to kids from the area to compete for the title of US Kids Golf European Champion and for the chance to win a coveted place at the US Kids Golf World Championships at Pinehurst, North Carolina in August.
