An online version of an Edinburgh restaurant guide has featured a review of The Glasshouse Off The Mile – the latest venture by acclaimed chef Steven Adair.
Bite – the monthly mini guide to eating and drinking in Edinburgh – has reviewed the new restaurant located next to boutique hotel Fraser Suites Edinburgh.
The St Giles Street venue trades as a seperate business on the ground floor of the 75-room hotel.
Under the heading “Fine food in a fine location” the diner and her companion select three courses from the extensive menu.
When describing the starters, the reviewer said: “The [liver] parfait had that special contrast of smooth, silky texture with dark, intense flavour whilst the chutney was spicy and rich. [The Arbroath smokie] was a sophisticated, creamy fish mousse; the pickled lemon was an intense, sweet joy and the crostinis, moreishly thin and crispy
Steven ran the award-winning The Glasshouse at Eskmills in Musselburgh for three years until the restaurant closed in early February.
The full coverage can be viewed on the Bite magazine website and was the result of a sustained PR in Scotland campaign by the Holyrood Partnership.
