EDINBURGH’S hottest style bar has been featured in a popular Edinburgh daily, as part of a feature introducing the bar and the daring project the young entrepreneurs behind it have taken on.

The two page spread in the Edinburgh Evening News, not only shows off Hyde Out’s exclusive design features and premium food and drink offering, but also reflects upon the gritty determination of Rory McWhirter (director) and Rowan Milne (General Manager) to make this bar a success.

Located at Edinburgh Quay in the heart of the capital’s Fountainbridge area, the venue promises to be a bar like no other offering it’s customers the very best in design and products.

From Timorous Beasties wall coverings, luxurious Squint furniture and a bespoke chandelier designed by John Harrington and made out of 600 crystal cut champagne glasses, the bar screams style and it provides a cool urban setting for the capital’s young proffessionals.

Rory McWhirter, Director of L.A White Leisure, the fledgling company behind the bar, is quotds in the article: “We are taking business away from places in the city centre like Tigerlilly and if all this works we will be able to single handly raise the whole area.”

General bar manager Rowan Milne adds: “We have no plans to go down the same route as other bars in the area. We don’t want to do ‘deals’ we feel that will cheapen the place.

“We don’t think its the area that stops a place here doing well – we’re sitting under office blocks, right in the middle of the financial district of Edinburgh.”

Hyde Out launched in early November with a successful launch night – over 300 guests braved stormy weather to attend, showing the bar’s appeal to it’s clientele. On the night guests were treated to a free champagne reception as well as a selection of canapes and luxury chocolates by highland chocolatier Iain Burnett.
