New Website Aims to Drive Investment Into Perth

Developed by Perth and Kinross Council’s global investment campaign, Invest in Perth, the site was created following extensive research on the most effective destination marketing platforms from across the UK and Europe.
Stuart Oliver, Invest in Perth Inward Investment and Marketing Officer, said: “We are confident we have conceived an attractive and functional website that will outline the huge array of benefits of locating in Perth.
“It is universally acknowledged that key research by developers and investors on new locations now primarily takes place online. It is therefore imperative that Perth City Region maximises its profile in the digital marketing sphere – and this website aims to provide a compelling story for anyone interested in investing in Perth.”
As well as profiling development opportunities, the website will allow local businesses in Perth to contribute and engage by sharing their own success stories and announcing good news.
Stuart added: “The website is to be constantly evolving and the engagement of the local community and those from further afield will play a huge part in its success.
“However we are certain that we are now well on the way to having one of the best digital offerings around, matching the aspirations of the Perth City Plan to make Perth one of Europe’s finest small cities.”
It is hoped that the website will help to attract future investment such as the £30 million Mill Quarter development, a multi-use site which will revitalise part of the city centre, creating more than 150 jobs plus 350 construction and supply jobs.
Expresso Property, the preferred developer praised the ongoing consultation of Invest in Perth, and the Scottish Cities Alliance, the collaboration of Scotland’s seven cities facilitated by the Scottish Council for Development and Industry, who combined to market and showcase the business potential of the site.
The Perth City Plan seeks to grow the city and its economy ultimately turning Perth into one of Europe’s finest small cities. Attracting new businesses, more visitors and providing new job opportunities are the key focus of the city plan.
Invest in Perth aims to position Perth City Region as the most desirable place in Scotland in which to live, work, invest and visit.
