on behalf of Bield Housing And Care
Bield Housing & Care has reasserted its status as one of Scotland’s largest specialist providers of housing and care for the elderly by remodeling the traditional structure of sheltered housing to adapt to modern times, and The Milngavie & Bearsden Herald has recognised its efforts.
The newspaper quoted Amanda Miller from Bield, who explained how demands for retirement housing are shifting away from old models and towards housing that enables more independent living- a change which Bield embraced by restructuring their services in its Oakburn Gardens, Milngavie late last year.
The coverage reflects Bield’s reputation as a housing and care provider which values its clients as individuals and designs its quality services with the customer in mind. In implementing the changes, they created Tenant Focus Groups to ensure maximum benefit and control for those who use their services. The media coverage shows that the tenants welcomed the change, which Bield was aware can often upset older people.
The coverage was achieved as part of an ongoing PR campaign for Bield Housing & Care. The original press release can be read on the Holyrood Partnership website here.
