Money Market Website brings extra Scottish PR for House Exchange Scheme

Project Work and Other Clients Blog

Money Market webThe Swap the House housing exchange scheme, has been featured on Money Market’s website.  The article encourages homeowners to either fully or part exchange their homes instead of selling them, providing them with an alternative way of promoting their homes to potential buyers, at a time when housing prices are at a stand still.

The service uses the concept of online dating, in which homeowners enter details about their home and a sophisticated computer system then finds the best matches.  The service offers a fast, cheap way for homeowners who have spent months looking for a buyer to get moving – and compliments the role of estate agents and property solicitors.

Founder of the scheme Martin Walker, quotes in the article; ‘Most sellers are also buyers, so most people who are selling their house are doing so in order to buy another one.  They are effectively already looking for an exchange’

The scheme is free to join during the joining period, which ends 1 June 2010.  Subscription after this period is £3.99 or £4.99 per month depending on which membership package is chosen.

The full article can be viewed on Money Market’s website and was secured thanks to a PR campaign by the public relations agency the Holyrood PR.
