Last week I introduced you to Craig. This week I’ll be introducing you to Chris Fairbairn, a Junior Account Manager here at Holyrood PR. Chris led the campaigns that recently won two gold awards at the CIPR Scotland Pride Awards showing his value to the team.

Chris studied at The University of Aberdeen graduating with a degree in Economics and Politics, although he decided to take a different career path.

After finally deciding to join the PR Industry, Holyrood PR proved to be the perfect fit. Chris has been working in PR for two and a half years, two of which have been with the team at Holyrood PR.

Q – What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love the variation. I enjoy working with a number of clients doing very different things. One day I could be talking about cows, the next day I could be talking about wind farms and housing developments.

Q – What do you enjoy doing most when you are not in the office?

I have two main hobbies. The first one being Newcastle United, I’m a season ticket holder. The second one being music. I’m part of a band – Pulse – in which I play guitar. We play at weddings, functions and have had quite a busy year.

Q – Tell us something not many people know about you?

I have an unashamed obsession with cook books. I really like them and have quite a collection.

Q – What would you define as the highlight of your career so far?

It has to be the two golds I collected for Low-Budget Campaign and Corporate Business and Communications Campaign at the 2016 CIPR Scotland Pride Awards. They were both for campaigns that I led, so it was a proud achievement for me and the team.

Q – If you were only able to read one newspaper for the rest of your life, which newspaper would it be?

The Guardian, mostly because it’s got the perfect mix of seriousness, analysis and entertainment.

Q – When the office tea-round comes around, what is your drink of choice?

A Filtered Coffee

And outside of work?

A Single Malt, preferably a Glenlivet Nadurra.

Q – You have one superpower, which superpower do you have and how do you use it?

I’m a follower of Karl Pilkington, and I quite liked his creation of ‘Bulls&*t Man’ – being able to sniff out lies when people are talking would be my choice.

CHRIS HAS EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF THE PR INDUSTRY AND KNOWS HOW TO USE IT. LEARN HOW YOU TOO CAN BENEFIT FROM WORKING WITH HIM
