What you need to know about the members of an Award Winning PR Agency

Holyrood PR videogrpahy expert, Craig Sinclair
AN AWARD-winning PR team is only as good as the people involved.

So we want to introduce our many website visitors, blog readers and newsletter subscribers (get on the Priority List, our monthly email update, here) to the staff who make Holyrood PR tick.

To star with let us present Craig Sinclair, our resident videographer.

Craig attended The University of Stirling to study Film and Media graduating with a BA Hons. He has had various roles in the film and media industry from working as a runner, a grip (a lighting and rigging technician) and as a video journalist.

Craig then decided to join the PR Industry and joined the esteemed team at Holyrood PR. He has been working with Holyrood PR for 2 Years and 6 Months, ranking him as the 4th longest serving employee after their steadfast office manager Linsay and the two Directors who founded the company!

So let’s start with some quick fire questions.

Q -What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love the opportunities there are in video making. I can bring in my own equipment and put forward my ideas to clients. The creativity is definitely my favourite part.

Q – What do you enjoy doing most when you are not in the office?

Picture of DroneWell when I’m not being a chauffeur for friends and family, I really enjoy flying the drone the company has – I’ve been undergoing some training and I’m almost a qualified drone pilot. When I’m at home I usually like to watch box sets such as Breaking Bad for example. I sometimes play action games on the Xbox too.

Q – Tell us something not many people know about you?

When I was younger I had a license to perform tae kwon do that had to get authorised by the police before I could even take part in classes. I don’t anymore but I like people to remember that I used to be a licensed weapon like Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

Q – What would you define as the highlight of your career so far?

All the marketing videos we’ve made recently for Musselburgh Race Course, Sick Kids Friends Foundation and Mackie’s have all had an influence of my style of video. I really enjoyed when the Bicentenary sculpture was made and unveiled by The Queen. This involved two full days of filming with varied angles and techniques and the video came together nicely.

Q – If you were only able to read one newspaper for the rest of your life, which newspaper would it be?

The Dandy. As a visual guy I respond well to comics, although I do keep up with the news.

Q – When the office tea-round comes around, what is your drink of choice?

A tall glass of water

And outside of work?

A tall glass of Innis & Gunn

You have one superpower, which superpower do you have and how do you use it?

The ability to fly, which may explain why I liked flying the drone. It would make life a lot quicker in getting round and about. I don’t think I could carry all my gear though which is a downside. At least I would be away from the Edinburgh traffic.
