The Peterborough Times has reported on the expansion of Space Solutions – just months after it set up base in the Midlands town.

Leading workplace relocations and installation specialists Space Solutions has cemented its continued impressive growth by relocating to a new, larger base – just nine months after opening in the Midlands.

The firm has expanded operations by opening a 2500 sq ft warehouse at the King’s Street Industrial Estate in Peterborough, which it will use as a hub for its operations across the Midlands and South East.

The move will see a mobile team, who previously operated out of a base in Bourne, being based at the new Peterborough depot. They will work alongside staff from Space Solutions’ other satellite office in Basildon.

A new Business Manager, Helen Wright, has also been appointed to develop and grow Space Solutions’ growing client base.

Space Solutions in-house installation and management teams are experienced in many types of installation contracts including office, contract residential and educational. Space Solutions specialise in working in partnership with its clients to devise the optimum installation logistics strategy.

Since they were established last April, Space Solutions’ teams have fitted out Job Centres and London Transport bases, installed student accommodation at Christ College in Cambridge, worked with BAE at Farnborough and built hundreds of school tables for its client Pars. The company has also just landed deals with a number of Midlands-based furniture providers, including Godfrey Syrett, to store furniture and prepare it for delivery.

John Fabri, Operations Manager at Space Solutions, said: “We’re delighted to have moved into our new home in Peterborough, which will provide us with a central hub for all of our work in the Midlands and beyond.

“We’ve had a lot of success over the last year and have been working with a growing number of clients, so this will help us strengthen our position in the region.

“Peterborough was the perfect location as it puts us in an ideal location for servicing our existing and new clients throughout the country.

“This expansion is being driven purely by business growth and increasing demand for our services.  With other companies struggling because of the economic downturn, we are clearly very pleased that our business continues to go from strength to strength.”

Derek Binnie, Director of Space Solutions, said: “The Midlands division was only established eight months ago through client demand, so to be having to relocate to larger premises is a clear indication of the success of this operation – and the continued demand from clients.

“John’s team has put in a tremendous amount of effort and done a fantastic job to ensure its success.

“Our new warehouse facility, along with the appointment of Helen Wright, will allow us to continue to grow and provide our services to a wider client base. Helen in particular will bring considerable experience to the team as we look forward to another busy 12 months.”
