Edinburgh PR Agency unveil ‘Spellbinding’ plans to an eager press

FRONT PAGE coverage edinburgh PR agencyAmbitious plans to launch the most prestigious luxury hotel venue in Scotland created a media ruckus, as Edinburgh PR agency Holyrood PR managed the early, but careful, roll out of the exciting redevelopment news.

Carbisdale Castle in Sutherland, was built in 1917 and is famous for being the last castle to be built in Scotland – as well as being haunted. It was privately owned until 1945 when it became a youth hostel, but it has been closed since 2010.

As initial news of the project plans broke in the local community, Holyrood PR put in place a skilled communications strategy to manage media interest while working closely with the project team.

Our work certainly grabbed the attention, landing a hugely positive front page in Scotland’s oldest daily paper, The Press and Journal – which although primarily a North East paper – is available throughout the country, with a daily readership of over 66,000.

PR Coverage in the Times With the BBC and the Press and Journal grabbing the story, the final big hitter to feature Carbisdale was The Times – with the respected newspaper running a large feature across two pages.

With plans so ambitious – and with so much potential, yet still requiring skilled community consultation to secure vital local support – it is crucial that the public relations campaign reflects this. Our Edinburgh PR agency managed to make sure that the facts and motives behind the plans were clearly communicated to an audience clearly hungry for the news.
