Property maintenance company One Call Home Assist was forced to pull a job notice after being besieged by almost 100 applicants in half an hour. The firm put a notice in its local job centre seeking a joiner. Within 30 minutes the company, which offers an emergency property service for landlords, received 50 CVs and more than 40 phone calls. The all trades firm was forced to pull the ad to prevent it disrupting their daily business, but still found ideal candidate Steven Craig, 35, a proud new dad of twins.
