Montpeliers (Edinburgh) achieves food and drink PR success with Lulu, its glamorous new night spot

The main bar in Tigerlily Edinburgh captured in successful food and drink PR photographyLULU, Edinburgh’s most glamorous new night spot, opens its doors for the first time on October 5 and makes food and drink PR headlines.

Lulu, located underneath Montpeliers hugely successful new Tigerlily venture in George Street, promises to be different from any other bar or club in the capital – offering unrivalled levels of style, service and sophistication.

And with just a capacity of just 300, it offers a level of intimacy blended with high-end opulence and trend-setting music to rival the top London clubs – ensuring Lulu is destined to become Edinburgh’s hottest must-see destination.

And today the first glimpses of Lulu’s unabashed glamour were unveiled thanks to the help of luxury Edinburgh lingerie boutique Boudiche.

David Johnston, part of the Montpeliers team behind both Tigerlily and Lulu’s designs, said the venue – best described as part bar-part club – will have a very intimate yet exceptionally friendly feel.

He said: “The look is very lush and decadent and the richness of the interior is complimented by high-tech touches such as our Saturday Night Fever-style under lit dance floor and Swarovski crystal studded walls. And that’s before we even talk about the quality of our bar staff which we believe will be the best in the business.

“Lulu will do things differently from other bars or clubs in Edinburgh. It’s certainly not a disco or nightclub, but while it will have an edge of exclusivity, its size means that it will be intimate and very comfortable.  It will almost have a feel of being at your own private party – where you can enjoy great company with your favourite drinks and top tunes.”

Lulu – open seven nights a week from 8pm to 3am – has deliberately avoided operating a membership scheme, meaning there will be a permanent open-door policy.

While Lulu will come to life at night, the venue has also been equipped with the latest audio-visual technology to allow it to be used as an ultra-cool venue for any business event, launch or meeting.

Recruitment has now started for 50 bar staff who will work at Lulu – for more information contact
