Lulu’s Masquerade Ball promises a night full of surprises

LULU, Edinburgh’s most glamorous nightspot, is giving people the chance to not only see in 2007 in style – but also to win one of host of luxury prizes.

The George Street club/bar is staging a Hogmanay Masquerade Ball, offering revellers the perfect way to add a touch of decadence to their New Year celebrations.

And if the chance to dress up in mystery masks and enjoy champagne cocktails, a buffet banquet and guest DJs were not enough, Lulu is organising a special prize draw with the chance to win a trip for two to Venice.

Lindsay McCarroll, sales and marketing manager at Lulu, situated under Tigerlily, said: “This is our first Hogmanay celebration so we wanted to make sure it was one to remember. Lulu’s décor oozes lushness and decadence so the naughty element of a Masquerade Ball seems the ideal theme.

“We then decided to ensure the night could be a very special one for some lucky guests by offering them the chance to win a luxury prize.

“We’re having a number of champagne flutes specially engraved for our champagne reception – those people finding one of the unique glasses will then have the chance to choose a winning envelope offering prizes such as a trip for two to Venice, a night’s stay in the spectacular Georgian Suite in Tigerlily, and a VIP champagne and canapés reception for 20 people.”

Lindsay said the night has been planned so that guests can enjoy the champagne reception – with the prize draw – plus a buffet banquet and free champagne cocktails in the early part of the night and then carry on partying until the small hours.

She added: “Hogmanay parties often don’t get started until after midnight, so Lulu’s Masquerade Ball will give people the chance to get quickly into the party spirit and still have plenty of time to celebrate Hogmanay in style.”
