Creating Jobs – And Earning Positive PR in Scotland.
The fast growing Scottish company has expanded its growing business by opening new headquarters in Bathgate just twelve months after opening its fourth branch in Livingston.
Ged Smith, Managing Director at Direct Savings, said: “We are delighted to have opened our fifth branch and now our new headquarters in Bathgate which has resulted in us taking on 52 additional members of staff, providing a much needed boost to local employment.
“Moving into a space which is more than double the size of our former headquarters really helps to cement our development and progress over the last twelve months and shows that we are taking the right steps forward.
Eileen Smith, also Managing Director with Direct Savings, said: “Bathgate has had its fair share of bad news recently so it’s great that we have been able to take on as many staff as we have over the past month or so.
“Like many people in the area we were devastated to learn the news of the Halls of Bathgate closure and the impact it could have locally. We will definitely look to work hard to create more jobs over the next few years for the area.”
Direct Savings has evolved into one of the UK’s biggest loft and cavity wall insulation specialists under the government’s subsidised energy efficiency scheme.
It has also looked to diversify its business into other innovative energy efficient products such as its Infranomic Far Infrared heating products, which is described as the next generation of domestic heating.
