FFDR sponsorship photography by PR agency Holyrood PRFFDR, Scotland’s leading all trades contractor, has announced a sponsorship scheme to help put two new additions on the fast lane at Knockhill Racing Circuit.

The Fife-based business has provided financial support to refurbish the commentary box and Hairpin shelter   – allowing motor racing fans to get a better piece of the action.

In just three months, the flagging facilities were treated to a face-lift with repainting, re-clading and new fascias displaying the FFDR logo, taking pole position at the track.

Knockhill Racing Circuit’s Managing Director, Derek Butcher, said that FFDR were the ideal sponsors because of the company’s high business profile, and commitment to the local economy.

He said: “FFDR is a company with bundles of enthusiasm and growth – and in many ways they mirror us.  We are fast paced and they all about fast growth.

“It is great to see that a local firm has taken interest in helping another local company.  Without FFDR’s financial support, it would not have been possible to have two fantastic facilities which are a must for providing an exciting atmosphere for visitors.”

Ronnie Klos, sole director of FFDR, said that he was delighted that FFDR were approached to play a part in sponsoring one of Scotland’s top sporting attractions.

He said: “I believe it is important for local companies to support one another and a company like mine to provide what help it can.

“As a keen motor enthusiast, I race at Knockhill frequently and was only happy to help a famous Scottish facility.  The shelter and commentary box are necessary facilities to watch motor sports in action and really add to the buzz.”

FFDR, which was named Best Small Business at the most recent National Business Awards of Scotland, specialises in salvaging damaged properties across east central Scotland on behalf of the insurance industry.  Its head office is in Lochgelly and the company employs 55 people.

Knockhill, which enjoyed one of its biggest ever crowds at the recent British Touring Car Championships on Aug 7 and 8, has a full programme of race events over the rest of racing season.
