An Appeal for Friendly Volunteers has Made its Way into the Press, With Help From Edinburgh PR Agency
An appeal for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers in the Dunfermline area has made its way into the local newspaper and onto a number of care industry titles, thanks to the award-winning team at Holyrood PR.
Holyrood PR works with Bield Housing and Care, sharing their many success stories, volunteer appeals and quirky development stories, which often garner excellent coverage in the local papers and industry publications.
Our volunteer appeal for ‘Befrienders’ in Bield’s Grants Bank development in Dunfermline looks to highlight Bield’s Befriender Project. This a project that looks to combat isolation amongst tenants in their developments by encouraging volunteers to spend time one-on-one with tenants, by going for walks, having a chat over a coffee or by going to social events in the local community.
The project is an integral aspect of Bield’s ‘Free to Be’ ethos, encouraging those who use Bield’s service to take part in all sorts of different, fun and interesting activities.
At Holyrood PR, we always look to secure coverage in industry press and were delighted when Housing Scotland Today (Scottish Federation of Housing Associations) and Housing News, two popular care titles, featured our appeal.
Looking to widen the coverage further, our Edinburgh PR team targeted local newspapers, ensuring the appeal reached the local community. The appeal featured in a generous spread in The Dunfermline Press.
