on behalf of U.S. Kids Golf European Championship
Well read local newspaper the Boston Standard has trumpeted the achievements of two young Lincolnshire Golfers.
Schoolboys Jordan Wrisdale and Billy Spooner both live in the English town and travelled to Scotland for last week’s U.S. Kids Golf European Championship.
Jordan finished second in the boys’ 13 years category, while Billy claimed fifth spot in the boys’ 11 years event.
Both played on the tought Luffness course – one of five links courses in East Lothian, Scotland, which hosted the tournament.
In an article by Duncan Browne, the Boston Standard devoted significant column inches to reporting the boys’ exploits and Jordan told the newspaper: “I’m happy with how I did.”
The article can be read in full on line – and is among an avalanche of media coverage for the event, generated by Holryood Partnership, PR in Scotland for the prestigious annual event.
