EXPERTS in residential letting, Letfirst with Orchard and Shipman , has been given even more cause for celebration, after its story of attending the Scottish Association of Landlords’ Conference and Exhibition, to mark National Landlord Day was featured in the press, thanks to property PR experts.

The event, held at Edinburgh’s Dynamic Earth, was the UK’s largest private sector housing gathering and property specialists from the Orchard and Shipman team were on hand throughout the day to advise landlords on its innovative new scheme.

Its award-winning letting model ensures that landlords across the country are guaranteed rent, even when the property is empty, and provides protection from risks such as tenant damage costs, for up to five years. For more information please see the original press release.

The Edinburgh Evening News picked up on the story featuring it in yesterday’s edition of the paper.

Agency Comments on Welfare News – Property PR

Director of Orchard & Shipman and forward thinking lettings agency Letfirst Angela McLachlan, was called upon to comment on the impact of welfare reforms on a leading housing news website.

24 Dash is the UK’s most up to date social housing and public sector news website and featured an article on the fact that women are the biggest victims of the coalition’s welfare blitz – an issue which Orchard & Shipman knows all about.

65% of Orchard & Shipman’s client base is female and the lettings agency, which specialises in providing housing for those on low income or benefit, believes that changes to welfare will create extra barriers to women, particularly those in single parent families, when it comes to finding housing.

Orchard & Shipman works with such families to help break down these barriers to housing, by removing the need for deposits and working with private landlords and local authorities.
