A SCOTS law firm is turning the tables on traditional practises by offering home visits for clients rather than insisting on formal office meetings.
Boyd Legal is determined to be at the forefront of reversing the stuffy image of lawyers by putting their clients’ needs at the centre of their customer service offering.
Having already made successful trips as far north as Shetland, no journey is too far to build lasting and lucrative relationships for both parties.
Peter Boyd, Managing Partner of Boyd Legal, said: “We will see clients absolutely anywhere in Scotland.
“People are more at ease at home and both they and we certainly see the benefits of being able to discuss what can be highly personal affairs in a more relaxed setting.
“We find that we can reach a more satisfying way to conduct what can be stuffy legal business in this new and refreshing way.”
Boyd Legal has found that clients in need of Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts have been particularly keen to take up their service, especially if they may find travelling into the cities a problem.
Most recently, Peter made a trip to Gartmore, Stirlingshire, to visit a couple, one of whom was less mobile due to a recent operation.
Peter added: “The opportunity to get out of the office is also an obvious attraction too. Having the chance to get to Gartmore in the Loch Lomond National Park, really didn’t feel like work in the slightest.
“What’s more, we found a huge number of common interests after we’d finished the business talk, and I even got a slice of delicious home baked apple pie.
“You wouldn’t get that in a solicitor’s office in the city.”
Boyd Legal hopes its new client personal service will mark the beginning of a sizeable shift in the way law firms operate, with a client-centric approach taking precedence in a way it has seldom before.
Having recently undertaken a strategic review of its operations to support its drive for further growth, Boyd is committed to further establishing itself as a major player in the field.
A recent merger and a raft of promotions further highlight Boyd Legal’s focus to drive forward its growth plans, in spite of business community concerns surrounding a fragile economy.
With a flagship office in Edinburgh, Boyd Legal also has regional hubs across Scotland – in Kirkcaldy, Glasgow, Inverness and Aberdeen.
All clients are welcome to request a home visit for any required legal service; or can opt to meet in the more formal and traditional office setting.
